Planning and decision-making processes

We will analyze past and ongoing planning and decision-making processes in municipalities and counties to understand how and why current processes often result in plans and decisions that result in the destruction of nature and other valuable areas and other forms of unsustainable land development. We will also identify critical stages in the processes where other choices could have provided more sustainable solutions. An important part of the work is to discuss the results with the planning community with the goal of developing proposals for new or improved practices.
